Patchwork Cutters - EMBROIDERY GRID EMBOSSER

This Embroidery Grid embosser from Marion Frost at Patchwork cutters makes a fantastic 'woven' effect to your sugarpaste quickly and easily. It can be used alone and then small 'stitches' can be piped in place with a fine tube to give the appearance of embroidery or cross stitches or is incredibly effective when used with other patchwork cutters to emboss designs over the top. When the designs are coloured using paste or powder colours a quick and simple but extremely effective 'tapestry' look can be acheived. One of my favourite  sugarcraft tools! A different look for all sorts of cakes.

You can emboss directly onto the cake surface , repeating the impression as many times as required or for a better result roll out the paste and emboss before carefully lifting the paste into position on the cake taking care not to smooth out the impression. Great for a pretty feminine side decoration for many celebration cakes particularly for female birthdays or Christenings. add small 'stitches'  using royal icing in a fine piping tube or for a very easy finish use food colour pens or colour a larger design with paste or powder colours mixed with isopropyl alcohol (dipping solution)  once the paste has set up and crusted over.

A very impressive but deceptively simple finish to all sorts of celebration cakes.
