This Lace Strip embosser set from Marion Frost at Patchwork cutters set is really useful for all types of celebration cakes allowing you to add embroidery detail very quickly and simply. There are two diffent lace strips which can be pressed into soft sugarpaste to create a beautiful side design or border.

The embosser can be pressed directly into the soft sugarpaste to give embroidered patterns and border designs. Repeat as many times as needed to decorate the side or board. By dipping into food colour powders these patterns can be coloured or use the embossed lines as a guide for piping in royal icing - a very simple way of ensuring that your piped detail is consistent. An excellent and simple way to use them is to cut strips of mexican paste or half and half Mexican : Sugarpaste, emboss with the lace strip embosser of your choice nad then position around the cake sides for a very pretty edible ribbon. To make it even more like a true ribbon brush with lustre colour before lifting onto the cake. If set in loops and left to dry a pretty ribbon bow can also be made.
